Volunteers are the foundation by which the Museum grows and thrives. Museum volunteers play an important and active role in day-to-day operations and in a variety of activities and programs sponsored by the Museum. Volunteers give their time and special skills, and in return, they receive opportunities for continued education and a variety of volunteer benefits.

Docents sign up for the days they wish to work based on the monthly field trip schedule. They also receive special training from staff and fellow volunteers, as well as a docent handbook and CDs made by the Museum founder, Bud Lueck.

Receptions work a set schedule one or more days each week. You can choose to work mornings, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, or afternoons, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM.

Please give the Museum a call or email to set up a time to come in and talk about the volunteer opportunities that work best for you. The volunteers are considered the true treasures of the Museum. Your greatest benefit will be getting to know your fellow volunteers.
