Desert Garden Patio

Daniel R. Ciccati Tropical Garden Patio

Our botanical gardens are an extension of the museum's collection. A tropical paradise on the eastern exposure of the museum has exotic plants from the South Sea Islands locations consisting of Plumeria, Bird of Paradise, Bamboo Palm, Majesty and King Palms.

The western exposure of the museum hosts desert plants, including rare and endangered species like the Yucca Rustrada, Joshua, Bujum, Cabbage Tree, various cacti and other forms of plants.

The museum entry and the surrounding area has a collection of more than 200 exotic trees from as far away as Madagascar and Chile and features a broad spectrum of palm tree species.
